MOLOFSKY (score – 27): This design was the perfect way to turn the limitations of black and white into a palette that looks crisp and fresh. Eschewing a flashy catchphrase in favor of to-the-point print, Mountz focused on its product without the standard product shots.
WEINHEIM (score – 32): The perfect media buy was newspaper — this was news of the moment, not image advertising. In a world where people are bombarded with clutter, you must make your ad simple and appealing. KENSINGER (score – 40): The clever use of making a truck image out of diamonds for a moving announcement is – no pun intended, brilliant! Using pieces of stone and jewelry in an illustrative way could be an extension of the campaign and a way to create a unique selling approach. DERICCO (score – 22): I liked that the ad did not scream “moving sale” which can often cheapen the effort. This treatment maintains a tone of elegance and sophistication. |
